Poster and Vector Portrait

Image
For this project the goal was to make a poster which sends a message. I struggled with this part at first because I couldn't really think of any big message or statement that I felt really connected to. I have always just been here to create because I like to create things, not because I wanted to be making statements. So, I decided to try and make the message about that, and about what I find compelling about creativity. Looking at the end result, I am now thinking that this message could work for more than just art and drawing. It could work with writing, math, science, really just about anything which involves creating and designing.

Calligram

For the calligram project I decided to first turn myself into my character, since I have used this character and her story to express myself for quite some time now. I also made the color scheme all different shades of blue, since blue is my favorite color and also the character's main color. For the text I used one of the drafts I had written for the opening dialogue to the first series in her story, which summarizes her backstory and introduces readers to the premise for the remainder of the series. Calligram Text “Anywhere” - Opening dialogue draft for Ciel Snowdrop: Another Infinity What would you do with a world on your shoulders?  How far would you go to save a universe which decided it no longer wanted you?  This is the story of an adventurer.  This is the story of a rebel, a defiant, an exile. The story of the one who refused, who tried to save her people despite their animosity.  This is the story of a girl who is free to go anywhere. Anywhere within the universe and b

Words Word #1 - Creative Word #2 - Passionate Word #3 - Enthusiastic Word #4 - Nerdy Inspiration Final Products     For this project we designed a logo to fit with our personal company. Though we started out with looking for inspiration from google and from generators with the four words, I found that I wasn't really finding inspiration from those, and instead took an idea which I felt far better represented me. My logo is based on the main character of a long term project which I have been working on since before high school, and whose name I have already been using as my brand name on most of my main social media accounts. Actually, before deciding on the final logo idea, I had considered expanding on the logo which can be seen on her shirt in a few of the drawings, for an in-universe sportswear brand. Although eventually I settled on just using the whole character in the logo, since she has been the face of my real life branding for a long time. My initial design for the logo

Firefly

In this class we had to test out the AI image generator Adobe Firefly. Overall, I am not a huge fan of generative AI programs due to a number of ethical issues surrounding the way the programs work and the way they effect human artists, so normally I would not go out of my way to use one myself. For this project, I decided to explore one of the trends which I have seen online when people discuss these AI programs, which is it's ability (or inability rather) to properly make hands. I have never really experimented with these programs much myself, and so I wanted to test this out and see how true the rumors from online were, or if they were purposefully choosing the worst examples to show. From what I found from this experiment, the internet was definitely telling the truth about AI generators and hands, which I found quite funny actually.
